ARK OF HOPE – Ministry Update “Thank God for His Faithfulness!”
Greetings in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We thank God continually for His unfailing faithfulness. Despite many challenges and personal difficulties in this season, we can truly say that God’s love endures forever. Recently our family went through a very difficult time. We lost my beloved mother, and at the same time my father has been struggling with serious health issues. As the first son in the family—and also the first believer in our family and in our tribal community—these moments have carried deep emotional weight.
In our tribe, when my parents came to faith in Christ, many relatives and community members rejected and even outcast them. There were seasons of persecution and hardship that were not easy to endure. Yet through all these years, God has remained faithful.
Sometimes we do not fully understand how God can use our most painful moments for His glory. But during my mother’s burial and memorial services, something remarkable happened. Thousands of people gathered—mostly relatives and friends, including many who once rejected my parents because of their faith. In that very place, God opened the door for us to share the Gospel and pray for many people. What once felt like rejection became a powerful opportunity to proclaim the love of Christ. It was truly a wonderful and humbling moment to witness how God turns sorrow into a testimony for His glory.
Community Outreach – Free Eye Camps
During the month of February because we’ve committed them, we also had the privilege of organizing two Free Eye Camps as part of our community outreach ministry.
* The first camp was conducted in an indigenous and asylum community, where access to medical care is very limited. We were able to serve about 150 people by providing eye examinations, glasses, and basic medications.
# The second camp was held at the school where I completed my secondary education, during its 75th anniversary celebration. There we served around 189 people from the community.
During these camps, we provided:
- Vision testing and eye examinations
- Reading glasses for those in need
- Eye drops and basic treatment
- Screening and monitoring for chronic diseases such as diabetes (sugar) and blood pressure
These activities bring us deep joy and peace. At the same time, they remind us that many people around us are living and dying without knowing Jesus. That reality continues to move our hearts to serve and reach out to them.
Why We Organize These Community Programs
Many people ask why we organize these types of outreach programs. Our purpose is threefold:
- To educate people about the importance of their health and encourage them to care for their bodies.
- To help communities detect and treat health issues early, before they become serious problems.
- To create a golden opportunity to share the love of Christ, guiding people from superstition and fear toward the truth and hope found in Jesus Christ.
Reaching Indigenous and Tribal Communities
Serving in indigenous and tribal areas is not easy. The roads are often dangerous and transportation is difficult. Sometimes we must travel through remote and unsafe paths.
But we continue to go because we are compelled by the love of Christ. Many people in these communities have never heard the truth of the Gospel. Our hearts are burdened for them because they are searching for hope without knowing that the answer is Jesus Christ.
We believe that every journey, every conversation, and every act of compassion is a seed that God will use for His Kingdom.
A Heartfelt Thank You
We want to express our deepest gratitude to all of you who continue to stand with us through your prayers, encouragement, and support. Your partnership strengthens us and allows this ministry to continue reaching people with both practical help and the message of the Gospel.
Please continue to pray with us for wisdom, strength, protection as we travel to remote places, and for many hearts to be opened to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
We never cease to thank God for your lives.
With love and gratitude,
